Goodbye, Google Affiliate Network (GAN)

I received a shocking update from Google that Google Affiliate Network (GAN) is now retiring. The effective date is July 31, 2013.

Thanks for sharing this post with the BizSugar community. There was an article about this same topic on Small Business Trends yesterday. I'm wondering. How big a deal is this for you and other affiliated marketers really?

Not really a big deal, IMO, as I am not actively promoting affiliate programs - I have other options. However, GAN offers something others can't: Commission payment which is connected with AdSense payment - meaning, whenever I receive a commission payment from Google, it's AdSense + GAN. It's simplicity on my side.
