Hi Chris.

As a consumer, rather than a business owner, this is kind of scary - in fact, it's both dreadful & frightful. Not only will every site I purchase from know everywhere I was on their site (that I was on their site because I bought from them is all I'm comfortable with them knowing), they'll know all the other sites I've been to previously. Where does this sort of tracking of individuals end? Once G+ takes over (and it will take over - no business has the guts to defy them), everyone's life will be in their hands - and we didn't even elect them - nor can we oust them.

Duncan - You've got a good point. The one upside is that Google Analytics isn't really designed to pick out individuals, more for analyzing data in aggregate - which makes even this less intrusive than some of the analytics programs out there.

Although if you're more worried about Google than the analytics users - yeah, between analytics, adsense, search, youtube, they pretty much can track everything...
