The other day, I tweeted a link to a blog post featuring 14 creative business card designs. The cards were cool, and started an internal conversation about the quality of our own business cards. Could we benefit from an upgrade? Could you?
As a designer, the simplicity of a business card has always brought me joy. First impressions count, right? Doesn’t a snazzy looking business card contribute to your first impression? Perhaps, but I have to wonder if the printed business card is really that important at all.

I tell my course participants to do an ego search on a regular basis and see what is displayed on the first page. I think that Google's profile page will come up higher on the search page now with the introduction of Google+. I recently created an About.me profile page and funny enough, got 50 free business cards from Moo.com! ;)
I think that business card is still valid at mingle event, mixers, and business meetings, e.g. BNI.
Do you use digital social business cards like Poken, Bump app, etc?
