I totally agree with you. It's important that you put all of your effort into connecting with top bloggers, especially if your desire to to build a popular blog and brand in your niche.

When I first relaunched my blog last year, connecting with top bloggers was my main focus and is the very reason why I've managed to build up some good traffic and an awesome community.
