When we first start working online most of us have big ideas of making money, dumping the boss and starting to live the dream life. Many of us get a website online, create a list and go chasing the money only to discover we don’t make any great amounts.

I totally agree with this post. It’s very important that when you’re just getting started with making money online that you’re real and authentic. There is no need to have the “fake it until you make it” mentality as that is the very thing that will prevent you from making any money.

People need to get to know you as a real person. They have to build a relationship with you and begin trusting you before they’ll begin purchasing from you. I think that the best way to begin doing that and building authority in your niche at the same time is by simply starting a journey blog, giving your readers an “over the shoulder” look at what you’re doing to build your blog/business.
That’s what worked for me and so many others before me. And I’m sure it’ll continue to work for the newbies that take this approach as well.
