Though I totally endorse guest posting to better your traffic and rankings, it’s not my biggest strength. Many bloggy friends have asked me to guest post, but I always get nervous about it and only those who are closest to me can strong arm me into writing a guest post. So this post, is not about how to guest post. This post is how to avoid screwing your blog traffic when guest posting – seo and usability-wise that is.

I kind of "fell" into guest posting last year. I guess you could say it was "semi" intentional. I'd planned to eventually begin guest posting, but not until much later this year. However, through all my engagement efforts I ended up getting 3 guest post offers.
My first guest post was on Lisa Irby's blog. Then I went on to publish on Ileane Smith's and Ana Hoffman's blog.
What's funny though, I wasn't really nervous with my first two GP's. But when Ana offered, I was trembling as I was writing it, lol. Not to mention I had some SERIOUS writers block. (I even started my GP with saying I had writers block, lol).
I had to get over my fear quickly and I think I did okay, considering.
You've given some great informative tips here. I'm sure your audience will benefit greatly from your insights.
This is my first time visiting your blog, Vanita and I'm loving what I've read and seen so far.
I'll be sure to share this piece with my social circle.
Keep the awesome content coming and I look forward to connecting more with you soon.
