Most websites and blogs regularly post pictures, but using someone else’s picture without permission or credit can be a violation of copyright law. There are, however, many websites that offer copyright-free images for use by anyone. If you want to make your blog or Facebook posts more readable and visually appealing, these sites can save you a lot of time and hassle.

Yoni,

I agree. If you find an image you want to use, simple courtesy - credit and a link - is almost always appreciated...and enough. If you can't find an image on your own, these listed sites are a great way to find what you're looking for.

Best,

Cindy

Cindy,

Great list. Using pics can definitely enhance the user experience, but as you say it is important to use them fairly as they are other peoples' property. I have also read, and it's how I do it most of the time, that you can use an image if you credit the user in a post and provide a link back to the website.

Yoni
