I agree. If you find an image you want to use, simple courtesy - credit and a link - is almost always appreciated...and enough. If you can't find an image on your own, these listed sites are a great way to find what you're looking for.

Great list. Using pics can definitely enhance the user experience, but as you say it is important to use them fairly as they are other peoples' property. I have also read, and it's how I do it most of the time, that you can use an image if you credit the user in a post and provide a link back to the website.
