Every day hundreds (if not thousands) have the idea to start making money with a blog. While this is possible, it’s still very unlikely. Of the 300+ million blogs that are currently out there, I would say less than 1% of them actually make any real money (at least $1,000 per year).

It depends upon how you are monetizing your blog. If you depend on affiliate sales or AdSense, then you would need traffic. I do know that Zac is an affiliate marketer so I assume that is the point of view he is coming from.
