This is a great article and you touched on all the right points.
I'm not a big fan of PLR either, however, I've used PLR once before on my current blog, back when I first relaunched it. What the funny thing about that is the article actually ended up being one of the more popular articles on my blog. I think it was because I didn't actually use the PLR verbatim as it was and I infused my own voice and personality into it.
While, I'm not really a big fan of PLR, it can be useful in some cases if used properly. For instance using it in a non-public manner like within a email series or newsletter, rather than publicly on your blog.
I also agree that hiring a freelance writer is a good alternative and you can actually come off with much better content that's of a higher quality for just about the amount you would pay for quality PLR.
This is my first time visiting your blog, Halona. I found you through a comment that you left of MenswithPens.ca. I must say I'm loving your blog and what I've read/seen so far. I'll be sure to share this article with my social social as well as on BizSugar.com. :)
