If you spent thousands for a designer or programmer to build your website, odds are you overpaid and are getting outperformed by a more affordable, more functional option. Not to mention, your website might soon become obsolete.

I must admit being able to run a website on Wordpress using a premium theme has made a big difference. On another site a few years ago it cost a lot of money to set up and we had to rely on developers to make any changes.

And pay those developers large amounts of money undoubtedly.

CIK,

I don't understand too much about the coding...I'll leave that up to the experts like you. I agree 100% though that the traditional aspects of web-design are indeed changing. There is a need for simplicity. My website is actually too many pages and too much text. I'm going to simplify it one of these days. I'm starting to believe it should be more like a highway billboard; easy and quick to read for those driving by.

Yoni,

So long as you don't get rid of too much content, because we still believe great content is the king of any website. But yes, simple and functional, while still remaining visually attractice shouldn't cost a small business owner thousands of dollars. It just doesn't make sense.
