Immediately I loved this phrase: "Remind your prospect/boss that content marketing is not a sprint — it’s a marathon". As a content writer, this approach has helped me make sales and get the chance to build up a long term relationship with clients as opposed to gaining one off content job with a deadline and not much time to 'get to know the client'. This approach, in essence, also gives you and your team time to discover other areas of the client's business where they may need help or benefit from further content marketing. Really nice article - it refreshed my mind and made me look again at what it is I am doing! Thanks.

I much prefer regular, repeat work too. It's a far more efficient approach to doing business than continually churning clients.
