Social networks like Facebook have been touted by social media marketers as the holy grail when it comes to acquiring new customers, retaining them, and gaining revenue growth as well. The problem lies in figuring out how consumers want to engage with companies on social media. There is also an issue with how companies are using social networks to reach consumers. They need a platform where instead of just passively liking a brand and moving on, they have a place where there is greater interaction.
