David: You are right about that. I mentioned Zappos due to the fact that the company was acquired by Jeff Bezos company for its excellence in customer service.

As we say in the article. In the short run there might be some backlash, but in the long term - Amazon has the resources, products and customer mentality to continue to grow and dominate. But smaller brands, who have faced similar problems, don't always have the chance to survive.
