I think taking PR in-house is definitely something small businesses can do, as long as they are not just relying on social media to do the business of public relations. PR needs to be a mix of new media & old media tactics... it also helps if the in-house person has a good understanding of PR. In some cases having a PR agency for a period of time to learn some of the "basics" may also be a good idea.

AS what it says, it is very interesting. Good post, and very interesting views. It presented great methods and can help small businesses owners get off the ground while trying to take their P.R. and marketing even in-house.
