Frank: Thanks for the book tips! You could get Stefan Engeseth's book on PR as a free PDF download on his site. FYI: I wrote a review of his latest book, Sharkonomics, on Small Business Trends.

Frank Strong: Thanks for your comment. Have you read Stefan Engeseth's book, The Fall of PR & the Rise of Advertising?

Yes, several years ago. Co-written with Al Ries, who's other books, like "Positioning: the battle for your mind" and "22 Immutable laws of branding" that I'd highly recommend. You can get them on audiobook format too!

Thanks for the PR tips for a startup company. This could be a deal breaker for a new company.

Great! The fact is the occasional pitch from an entrepreneur with a solid story angle is likely to be quite welcome from reporters looking for stories. To this end, I have long thought entrepreneurs had an advantage polished PR pros could never match.
