Thanks for sharing this great guest post about using online tools for offline businesses. It could also be argued that there are a lot of non-marketing business functions that can be improved with online tools. Communications is an obvious one with use of private online groups, social networks, and Google Docs etc. Also, online networking is a way to find partners, suppliers, and even to recruit talent.

Speaking of Google tools, we order food through catering/food services via Google docs! this has saved us the trouble of setting aside a dedicated cafeteria, and has allowed the caterer to make few errors when taking in orders!
