Ivan,

A good article, though to each his own. Many people strive for the newest and the most-advanced. I'm in my second year of my writing business which includes blogging for myself and four other companies (mostly ghost-blogging) as well as resumes, corporate bios, speeches and the rest. I hate technology!

I have succeeded and will hopefully continue to succeed with no cell phone, no iPad and no laptop. All I have in my home office is an old Pentium 3, a landline phone, pencil, paper and sticky notes. And oh yeah, two dogs!

I let anyone who wants to hire me know that the only way to reach me is to email, phone me and/or leave a message.

While some try to incorporate all things new, there are some old vestigal holdouts from the past who prove that old fashioned can succeed too!
