Is Google+ Comment system more hype than substance? Can you replace CommentLuv comment system with Google+ Comments? Let’s discuss it here!

It is interesting to see how people jump ship and the ripple effect around the blogosphere. I implemented Google+ commenting system on my first blog, EGO (started May 7, 2002), due to the fact that it is on the Blogger platform (owned nowadays by Google). Did you remember back in the day when you had to add a third party commenting system on Blogger? ;)

Google has a masterplan with the whole idea of Google+. Could you guess what it is all about?

Suresh, you did a great job at breaking down why you're not a fan of Google+'s commenting system. I've been seeing Google's comment system around and I wondered about it's effectiveness. I'm glad I ran across your post because you've enlightened me and gave me even more of a reason to rebel against the big G, lol.

I don't use commentluv yet, either; I may decide to switch from disqus to commentluv soon but I'm happy with them from now. I'm also thinking of using Trriber's commenting system in conjunction with Disqus to increase engagement. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks for taking the time to share your insights with us.

This is a great post, and it really touches upon all the issues with making the switch to G+ commenting.

But, whether we like it or not... There has been a strong pull among those in Internet Marketing/SEO/Problogging sphere to move over to G+ since there's a pretty active community on G+ for these people.

It's not just Google. And, you see these are the very people promoting the switch. I already see that many others are just going to jump on the bandwagon (it's already happening as you pointed out).

But there will be a high cost especially for those who belong to a niche that isn't active on G+.

Great post, love the 7 reasons too. I wondered how many would switch to G+ comments and how it would work out.
