I definitely agree with this post, Brad. I just wrote a guest post about this very thing. Social media is a great way to build your brand, traffic and customer base. So many people shy away from social media because they're not willing to put in the effort that it requires.

They'd rather stick to SEO because they think it's easier. But, in actuality it's much easier to leverage social media. The focus with social media is to build relationships first and build social proof. That's the exact approach I've taken and it's worked wonders for my brand, traffic and business.

Thanks for sharing this post with us. I appreciate your insights on this topic.

Excellent post, Brad. As someone always aspiring to become better at social media, I have to admit it's easy to fall into the trap of spending way too much time on the platforms, feeling like you have to become a master of the latest and greatest tools and tips, but basically spinning your wheels and getting nowhere. I think the real problem with a lot of this is that people don't have their hearts in it. I mean, how do people really engage and have enough belief in what they're selling or promoting to convert, unless they really believe in what they're doing? And I think a lot of marketers on social media fall into that category..it's a job for them and they take a systematic approach, but their hearts and heads aren't really in the game. I guess this speaks to #2 and #3 of your points, but maybe I'm off. Thoughts?
