I’m often asked to give quick social media advice or little nuggets of wisdom to pass onto the small business community. I am happy to do it because I have a lot to say about the dynamic and confusing world of social media. I decided to pull these ‘rules of thumb’ into one post, as I find that we repeat these to our clients and prospects daily.

Rachel: Thanks for your input. I want to test out some kind of video / live streaming feature for my crowdfunding campaign for my first forthcoming book on tea and then for tea tasting sessions.

All the Best,

Martin

Rachel: I haven't always been an early adopter, jumping on the bandwagon. I was pretty early on Twitter (2007), though. I also started with blogging in 2002 and podcasting in 2006. I didn't know that Blap was gone. Which is your favorite live streaming application at the moment?

If blogging was a part of your efforts, early on, that's one huge advantage to you. Great job!

As for live streaming, I must admit, it was never something that I was particularly interested in pursuing - both for our business and for our clients. Our clients were not fond of video. However, I will say that I see value in Periscope and Facebook Live.

Thanks for reading.
