I don't think it's technically the scheduling of posts that's against the TOS. Instagram has no mechanism in their API to allow app builders to offer people the ability to schedule posts. So the way services have been getting around that is that you give them your log-in credentials and they log in on your behalf to post the photo at the scheduled time. Schedugram shares how they handle this on their site: http://schedugram.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/1000044134 I think the sharing of credentials is the TOS violation.

Why is it against Instagram's TOS to schedule a posting of a photo? I take Instragram photos in a snap in real-time, but what if you can't take the photo at once with Instagram's app, and publish it later on via your camera roll?

It is pretty strange that you can't have several Instagram accounts on your smartphone, e.g., your personal photos and for your company.
