Good points about being passionate versus being offensive.

The part about songs on the radio was (I think) off. Radio (and the record labels) controlled who made it & who didn't - who we were allowed to hear. With the internet it's a much more level playing field for musicians & authors than it was when record labels, radio stations, and publishing houses controlled access.
