Many people come to Google+ expecting to find Google's version of Facebook or Twitter or Pinterest. They look for their friends or a specific experience and, finding none, consider it lost. But is it?

Is the ghost town a reference to Guy Kawasaki's defense on the attack on Google+ in the early days?

I can't honestly say where the term came from, we only know we've seen it a lot over the past couple of years. And it's sad because if you use Google+ correctly, nothing could be further from the truth.
