By default, before people click on a video that you insert with the new YouTube Video tool to start playing it, YouTube will display a static frame picked from somewhere in the middle of the video. You have no control over that, so when people land on a page with an embedded video what they see may be unflattering -- e.g. a person with the eyes closed, or an entirely black frame -- as the opening frame, until they click on the "Play" button and the video starts.
