The New York Times published an article this week with several good examples of small businesses using Twitter. One is Humphry Slocombe, an ice cream shop in San Francisco. It seats 14 people, but has close to 300,000 followers. How?

I find Twitter to be a great marketing tool. Dan Schawbel (the author of Personal Branding Blog) recently wrote an article about how Twitter marketing is not effective and I didn't agree with his opinion.

He had a point but I think he was looking at just one angle of Twitter as a marketing tool.
