Cegeland: I hear you. Your assumption could possibly be the case. Facebook could very well have an algorithm that stops that from happening, especially as FB charges for post boosters nowadays.

I can't find anything definitive either way but I would have to assume that the Facebook algorithm is smart enough to determine page admins liking their own posts and see that as not actual engagement as compared to a fan that is liking the page content.
