A few years ago, Klout changed its algorithm to offer users more accurate and transparent scores. The team explained that this would lead to a big decrease in people’s scores.

When members realized that they had lost between 10 and 20 points overnight, many took to Facebook, Twitter, and their blogs to vent. The whole event triggered a passionate wave of conversations on the value of social influence.

Cendrine: I am sure the incentive to pay for posting on social media channel will bring out the good stuff, and the spam will decrease over the time.

I look forward to end for fake accounts in the near future. It could be fixed if you had to do a micro-payment for using different social media accounts, or if you had to prove your identity in some way.
