The human voice is an amazing instrument. It has the power to literally change the perceptions of the listener through its use. Our blogs should do the same thing. They should inspire, provoke and engage.

Hi Barney,

As a former inside phone operator, I can add another difference in memorable voices. Almost all actors have very distinctive voices (via nature & training), but many average people do not. If the TV is on in another room I can usually name the actor sight unseen by their voice. One of the 1st things I noticed as an operator was that in most cases it was difficult to know who called by the sound of their voice - I had to ask who it was. Only people with accents or very high or low voices were decipherable. Maybe we should all get voice coaching?
