The Twitter team quietly unveiled its Profiles Directory earlier this week.
Inspired by Facebook’s People Directory, this directory lists, alphabetically by first name, all the Twitter users who have opted to have a public profile. Profiles with non-Latin characters are also included.

I'm wondering what the benefit might be for business users attempting to publicize their Twitter account handles. Besides marking their accounts public, will there be any other way to make accounts stand out in the directory?
