Twitter is rumored to be expanding to 10,000 character tweets. We know that regular users don't like it, but what do business owners and marketing experts think?

I can see the dilemma that Twitter had. People were already trying to work around the limit with things like sequential tweets, "text" images, etc. But it also feels to me like they caved, rather than keep their original intent (micro-blogging) alive. But on the other hand, you've got to adapt or die!

Beth: Welcome to BizSugar with your first comment! I agree with your statement. I think Twitter is caving in to marketers and share holders, but that is OK. It is up to them to decide, but personally I think it is a mistake.

I like the hashtag ad idea, survey, retweet with additional text, etc. I miss the favorite star icon... ;)
