This infographic by Captivate Network shows the results of a survey done by MarketTools defining who is happier - men or women. Take a look at the breakdown and see how you can achieve more work/life balance in your world.

I think Duncan's point about generalizations is well made but anything that we can learn from to achive better balance in our lives is to be welcomed.

Oh - I'd say there's a good bit of reality in the study. It's just that we never seem to be happy with the outcomes. I actually loved the perspective of learning from each other. As a woman, I can learn from the approach of taking a break "just to relax". And in the same breath, I can understand that I create a lot of my own outcomes with the conversations I have in my head about how things ARE SUPPOSED to be as opposed to how they are.

Human beings are silly things :-) Love reading articles that make me think.

Thanks Duncan, I completely agree! However, I do think that this study is telling of what we can do to help ourselves, male or female, achieve a better work life balance.

Interesting Kimberly, but I still think generalizations about people are useless since I want to view everyone as an individual.

And, as always, the sample size greatly affects whether there's any possible grain of reality in the outcome - for scientific results, you need a sample in the millions.
