Nothing wrong with planning an exit strategy. It's a great exercise whether you sell or not and helps you think early on about the true value of your business.

Heather: I agree that it is nothing wrong with planning an exit strategy, but should it be the first thing you are thinking about? Sometime I wonder about main motive of the tech startups. Do they want to create something for the long run, or do they want to make a quick exit?
