In this post I’m going to provide you with 5 valid reasons why I think publishing less makes perfect sense for any blogger. When I talk about publishing less, I generally mean writing and publishing between 1 and 3 blog posts per week...

I've never really felt the need to blog frequently or felt under pressure or expectation to. As such, I write on my blog once a week, sometimes less, sometimes more. It gives me time to work on other things I have an interest in.

Hello Fabrizio,

I publish a new blog post once a week for all the reasons that you mentioned above. I don't like to be stressed out about things. I like to take my time. It does take a lot of time to promote your blog posts and it can be hard to promote many at one time. I think your readers appreciate your blog posts a lot more too and it also gives them time to really enjoy and absorb the content that you have written. Thanks for sharing this with us!

I think the most important one here (all are valid) is "You’ll have more time to spend on content promotion". If you are not promoting your articles and not connecting with people who can help promote those articles (which means you have to help promote theirs), you can write all day long to no one.

I agree, write one or two a week and spend the time promoting and marketing them.

Here is what I 've learned. Because of the promotion and over a hundred comments with a week per article, I learn what my readers are thinking and what their problems are as it relates to an article. When I learn that, I can blog more to their problems because I'm sure they are not the only ones. What happens is they begin sharing those articles more and more and it takes on a life of its own each week. Plus, I connect on article to another and reference it with a link and people reading a new article to them visit the others; and many times go into other parts of the site to buy because we educated and solved a problem in the blog and didn't try to sell them there at all.

Fabrizio is making a valid case for blogging on regular basis, but not every day. I have been blogging every day in periods, but nowadays I am managing to publish new blog posts every week or fortnight. I have so many blogs, 10+, so if I schedule them by spreading out the different publishing days, I could blog every day! ;)

My main focus now is to start again with podcasting on a regular basis and thereby publish blog posts with show notes.
