Excellent advice. The point about keeping it simple is very important. That is the primary reason Apple was so successful and is admired by millions of customers. This goes along with the point about changing customer behavior. Agree that it is difficult, but with the right approach and education it can be achieved. Again, Apple has been able to do exactly this with iPhone and iPad.

Agree that Apple is an excellent example of playing into consumer behavior. Instead of just designing a better-looking music player with enhanced features, Apple eliminated barriers and connected consumers to buying and sharing music in a single step. Now it owns the delivery of digital music via iTunes. They actually have a relatively low ad spend because their products are so accessible. I am glad you found the article useful.
