The 2012 Freelance Industry Report, which surveyed 1,491 freelancers in more than 50 different fields and professions, found that 14% of respondents listed "being your own boss" as the top freelancing benefit.

But, for web writers, this perk is also one of the most difficult things about freelancing. Without a boss looking over your shoulder, monitoring your productivity, you have to hold yourself accountable.

This is a great article Christina! I found it on BizSugar.com. I especially agree with your tips about sticking to a set schedule and working from a to-do-list. This is exactly what I've been implementing in my business.

I do several different things online, including running my traffic generation blog, attending online classes, as well as working my part-time job. So, it's vital that I work from a set schedule. I schedule my time in 3 to 4 hour blocks. I also make a to-do list to follow w/in those specific time blocks. This helps me to stay on task and on schedule.
