VERY original and very enjoyable post!
Hollywood is not known for its ethical and moral lessons. My pet-peeve in cinema is pyschologists, psychiatrists and doctors who have romances with their patients and it's romanticized. It is so immoral and unethical, yet it becomes a wonderful story.

Most movies & TV shows - to my great annoyance - put Robin Hood in Elizabethan times, c1600 - with full plate armor & Elizabethan music. We know that real Troubadour music sounded a bit like Arabic music - nothing at all like "Greensleeves".
I'm heavily into old weapons, music, and art - Hollywood has a habit of really pissing me off by getting it wrong almost all the time. Braveheart was accurate for dress, arms & armor, but the Kevin Costner Robin Hood blew it - they had him in post-1066, not 1190. They modeled after the Bayeux Tapestry (which is actually an embroidery completed c1077), so they got it wrong as well - and Morgan Freeman walking around carrying a Nepalese Kora (pretending it was a scimitar, shamshir, or kilij) was laughable. I spotted it instantly.
