I think educating the employes should be the first step. Explain what sites are safe and where they should be browsing. We sometimes take things for granted because we know what seems safe for us, but for a new employee, not so web-savvy, he/she might just click on an ad and end up in an infected site and land your company in all sorts of trouble.

I've recently had the experience of an employee (innocently) downloading a movie clip from the internet, and a malware program along with it. It took several hours to remove the threat, we almost had to wipe the computer clean and start over again. We had to have a team talk about downloading files after that. Thanks!
