Hi Sathish,

I'd add that for outgoing calls it's equally important to ID your business, yourself, and the reason for the call right away. One of the most annoying things telemarketers do is start right out asking questions: is this Mr. So-&-so? Then they deliver their scripted pitch w/o ever identifying who's calling in the 1st place. If they don't stop I hit the "tone" button followed by * or #.

There's so much emphasis on social media etiquette these days, that some people seem to be forgetting the good "old fashioned" forms of business communication. Thanks for the reminder!
