Jon: I think it is a great value of having face-to-face meeting, but it should not be mandotary, with all the different ways of communication nowadays.

I agree. I'm not sure I buy that there's really any big advantage to in-person meetings these days. At best I'd say you might need to set times when everyone on a team should be working so you're not waiting for responses to move forward but other than that I see no reason why people shouldn't work from wherever.
