When it comes to building a successful blog, especially one that makes a lot of money online, people are used to thinking that the most important thing is the type of traffic one gets and its quality.

Interesting, Crunchy, but as a life-long soda-pop drinker - someone who lives on pop, Coke is NOT the 1st brand I think of - in fact I never think of it, or of 'brands' - I just buy the pop I like to drink, regardless of all other considerations (as long as I can get sugar-free 2 liters for less than a buck - I never pay over a buck for 2 liters).

Duncan,

That $2.50 is supermarket price. At a convenience store, it's about $3.50.

BTW: Our local American-style supermarket had a big sign out last week: Entenmann's Cakes have arrived in Israel. So we went to check it out:

My old favorite, the raspberry-twirl danish, that great long crumby cake with the icing on top and that raspberry strip down the middle...

...67 shekels = almost $20.

I think people who make a living branding think consumers think in terms of the major brands, even though many couldn't care less. This isn't meant as a criticism - I think it's maybe 'over-excitement' with branding combined with normal job-related myopia.

Yoni - $2.50 for a 1.5 liter - what is it, liquid platinum??

Duncan,

You would "love" it here:

1.5 (not 2) liter Coke = 7.5 shekels = $2.50

Burger King Double Whopper, Large Fries and Drink = 42 shekels = $12.50

Gas to get you to the store for a bottle of Coke or Burger King for a meal 7.3 shekels/liter = approx $7/gallon.

I miss U.S. prices :(
