Yes, I think it matters in a way. My guess is it a sign of a paradigm shift going from using search engines to find what you are looking for, to asking your peers. The question is why Yahoo is taking the number 1 position? Is it that it is still a startpage / portal site for many users, and that Google has lost some cred. due to the personal data issues?

I think it is time for Google to get all their ducks in a row, otherwise maybe you will do "Duck Go Go" searches instead of "google it"...
