Is Your Business Ready to Sell?
"I've got an online retail business that's anywhere from 6 months to a year away from being ready to sell based on how much money I would like to receive for it. It's really taking off, and may even wind up exceeding my expectations in terms of what it winds up bringing in. I'm having to add staff regularly just to keep up with the ever-growing order volumes."“There can be only one” Highlander and SEO
"Some excellent points made throughout the article. The only partners I've found with regard to this topic are companies who do what mine does, but are located on the opposite side of the planet (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.). I once made the mistake of becoming too attached to a single source of rankings-enhancing, high-value hyperlinks in Mixx, and am still feeling the effects of that loss today - not just in the form of rankings but content as well. If I could get back all the content I invested into that site I'm sure I could do something constructive with. You're one of the few people Mr. Leonard whose advice on this topic I'll gladly absorb. I recall a time when I was once in discussions with a man who had a site similar enough to the one I was promoting at the time regarding SEO right before the big one announced it was opening a zoo full of Pandas and Penguins (whichever came first). Tings never materialized - which likely worked out well for both of us considered what was to come. Part of my hesitancy was that I had an intuitive feeling in my gut that change was imminent. Working in this field long enough and surviving as long as I have since I became an entrepreneur at age 23 with no experience whatsoever aside from that as a writer/journalist, one develops a feel for those things, and while it seemed to make sense on paper, I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger and in retrospect am glad I didn't. It's scary to think of what could have happened had I acted upon said conversations, considering that a few short months later the game was dramatically altered in a manner that made clear such tactics are not ideal strategy."“There can be only one” Highlander and SEO
"I write just about all of the written content I publish to any of my sites, so content quality has never been an issue for me. I was writing professionally for a local newspaper at age 17, interviewing now-professional athletes while I was still in high school, and definitely consider it to be among my strengths."20 Rules Of Work You Must Never Ignore
"I left a lengthy comment on the article page, but the gist of it is that I'm fine with employees using company email for personal communications so long as said communications do not reflect negatively upon the company. In each email, our web domain follows the @ in the address. In each email signature, we link to: our e-commerce website, two company blogs, our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google+ accounts, as well as a couple of other websites of companies I own but are not my primary source of revenue and do not require an office full of employees. That's a lot of potential exposure being left on the table if in fact the communications themselves are innocuous."Why Networking Doesn't Work
"Enjoyed the article. The only conferences I ever attend are MedTrade in Atlanta and I plan on attending some TRAFFIC and potentially other domain conferences as it appears that's where I've got the best chance of getting fair market value for top-tier domains like WePick.com, BuyAmmoOnline.com and TheNaturalMD.com."« previous1 next »

4 Google Adsense Alternatives That Worked for Me
"I once got into trouble with AdSense for putting ads on a site created to market my mother's business. She didn't know they were ads (or why they were on her website for that matter), and clicked on them from the same IP address that I used to create the site and manage the account. This occurred nearly a decade ago, and thankfully I've been able to earn Google's trust again as it pertains to AdSense."
