The key is in sharing great images combined with a targeted hashtag strategy. It’s also good to utilize local hashtags – even if you are trying to reach an international audience – find out what your local hashtags are. You can use Tailwind app and ViralTag to pull in your Instagram images and schedule them to post on Pinterest. Tailwind is really good at this because they have detailed analytics that suggest optimal times for getting repins. I find that sharing inspirational messages that I share on Instagram are helping me grow my account when I cross post them to Pinterest. "Martin, I don't have a post on using a custom URL but I know that Mike Allton from The Social Media Hat has one. IMO those custom URL's are harder to remember and do very little for branding. Although I'm sure most bloggers will disagree. It's much easier to remember bitly than some abbreviated version of a domain. Whenever I see those custom links I have NO IDEA what blog they belong to.
