The Guardian Life Small Business Research Institute released a new report today that found the majority of America’s small business owners are considerably more optimistic about the financial performance of their businesses than they were just one year ago, with 51 percent of owners anticipating higher revenues in 2010 – and many planning to expand their business. The Institute surveyed 12 key industry sectors and revealed that owners of environmental companies (65 percent) and healthcare providers (60 percent) hold the highest expectations for 2010 revenues, which is significant considering the study was conducted in June of this year. Insights from this research support earlier claims of small business optimism in the face of financial instability and bodes well for the U.S. economy overall.
