The author is talking about the sleep cycle at the end of the article. Have you tested the app, Sleep Cycle, or Power Nap? I will start to use these apps over a time period and see how my sleeping pattern will improve. Right now I am having 60-80% quality sleep according to the Sleep Cycle app. The power nap app you could use as a quick fix during the day.
