"Logic dictates"...said Mr. Spock on countless Star Trek episodes. I admire logic, but recognize Capt. Kirk's use of illogic to win the day sometimes, such as beating Spock at 3-level chess, much to Spock's dismay (is that an emotion)? Also, when Kirk said "Our logic is to be illogical!" to defeat Norman, the head robot of the 100's of robots in "I Mudd". Normally logic should rule, but not always! (Kirk is my hero as the record-holder for destroying more computers than anyone else in the future - often by "talking it" into destroying itself because it can't compute pi to the last digit! It sputters, smokes, and shakes till it finally blows up - Beautiful!!)

I love the original star trek too.

But disaster struck last year when I discovered that the whole thing is made up and that Spock is really nothing more than a depressive drunken American actor. Therefore logic dictates that every life lesson derived from star treks scrip’s (including the one that say “emotion is superior to logic”) can be scrapped.

One is either logical or not.
