Yes, I have tested the lean canvas business model with two recent start up businesses. One was a more complex nanotechnology where we collaborated as a group using the lean canvas method.

In my experience, the lean canvas business model is a much more practical method to developing a useful, single diagram that describes the business vs. a business plan which is more of a document for investors or stakeholders that is rarely read or used.
