I'd add that your take on brutality, strategy, and flexibility apply to non-team sports, too - like my favorite, Boxing. Excluding a few poor sports, lots of boxers hug or shake hands after the bout, and have well thought-out strategies pre-fight that may need to be revised based on something unexpected the opponent does (flexibility).
