Developed by Toyota subsidiary Denso-Wave in 1994, the QR (quick response) code was designed with a two-dimensional code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. QR codes can contain images, urls, text, and more. Traditionally, QR codes have been black and white, but the growing popularity of QR codes coupled with advances in today’s scanning technology, have made colorful QR codes a reality. Though applications can scan QR codes with multi-color background and foregrounds, you should have some level of contrast between your two color choices to ensure scanability.
