Yesterday I was watching some TV before heading to a friend’s house when I heard a Godaddy commercial say that “every business needs a website to be successful!” Is that true?

Don: I was pulling your leg a bit, what's why I wrote "wrong"... You have to do an analysis of where your potential customers are first. Do they want to gather information on the net, or only through a physical place, e.g., brick-and-mortar store.

I understand why Godaddy is having this slogan. They are playing on the "bad conscious," and get potential customers closer to a sign up.

All the Best,

Martin

Godaddy and the author, Don Purdum, are both "wrong," according to my view. ;) Every business don't need a website, but every business has to know about what's going on the Internet regarding their business.

Hi Martin,

Can you elaborate a little more so I understand your position.

My point was that you have to know your business first and then you can understand the technology and how to use it.

Are you saying that is wrong?

I appreciate you comment and look forward to learning your thoughts.

~ Don
